Amber had an ankle injury, she would not have played pass or not. She could have but the risk of reinjury was not worth it. She takes too many chances on the bases, wont take it easy. As expected, Lady Eagle coach wanted to play on Thurs, Afraid to play on Friday, but Justice and fair play prevailed, Coach Fairplay won the flip to play Friday and again won the flip to play a best of three, hosting the first game and travel to Hanna on Sat, TBC.

Sorry, you are wrong about the coach wanting to play on Thursday. UIL has stated that there would be no games on Thursday due to TAKS Testing. See information below from UIL. Therefore no matter what you are saying, the games were going to be either Friday or Saturday.

Softball Coaches,
In reference to participation in post season softball games this week, please find the following information.
Section 33.0812 of the Texas Education Code specifically prohibits participation in post season UIL competitions Monday through Thursday of the school week in which the primary administration of assessment instruments under Section 39.023(a), (c), or (1) occurs
According to the most current testing calendar provided by the Texas Education Agency, there is TAKS testing through Thursday of this week. As such, any school whose students are taking a TAKS exam on Thursday would be prohibited from participation in a post season contest on Thursday of this week.With bi-district certification for this school year ending on Tuesday, April 30, some schools have inquired about the possibility of playing a best two of out three series since district certification is also on a Tuesday (April 23).

The bi-district deadline was pushed back to a Tuesday this year because of the state mandated TAKS Testing.

A two out of three series is a possibility under the following conditions:
1. Two games of the two of out three series must be completed (or the second game started) by the end of the day, Saturday, April 27.
2. If the second game can't be started by the end of the day on Saturday (April 27), the series is a one-game series.
